Perbincangan Awal - Tourist Info Centre


Salam Semua LT301,

Apa khabar semua? Konfirm tengah sibuk dengan pelbagai kerja awal semester ini. Give your best even though times are tough and challenging!

Ok, saya rasa biarlah saya memulakan perbincangan awal mengenai Projek Info Tourist Center. Konsep asas CA301 adalah lebih kepada pengenalan untuk merekabentuk secara serius. Kursus CA201 saya rasa berakhir dengan pelajar mula sedar akan kewujudan site analysis dan peranannya dalam merekabentuk ruang/bangunan mudah. CA201 juga lebih berfokus kepada individu (1-3 orang) dan private spaces. CA301 sebagai penyambung CA201, pada pendapat saya, harus memberi fokus kepada elemen2 ini:

  1. Kefahaman dan pengendalian analisa tapak yang lebih fokus
  2. Penghasilan Idea
  3. Rekabentuk ruang yang menekankan kepentingan zoning, layout, antopometrik, ergonomik dan sirkulasi untuk 10 -13 orang
  4. Rekabentuk struktur, bentuk dan fasad.
  5. Persembahan(komunikasi) yang efektif
  6. Teknikal
Walaupun siaz projek ini kecil tetapi fokusnya amat penting iaitu, Bagaimana hendak mengajar pelajar menyelesaikan masalah rekabentuk ruang saiz serdahana yang didalamnya sudah mula mempunyai pelbagai fungsi terutama untuk orang awam.

Cadangan ruang projek ini (pilih 4-5 sahaja) :
  1. Ruang lobby
  2. Ruang reception/information
  3. ruang mini galeri
  4. Ruang multimedia
  5. Ruang tandas
  6. Ruang R&R (jenis wakaf)
  7. Ruang pamiran Phamplet/Booklet
  8. Tangga (dua tingkat)* Wajib

  1. Good morning & Assalamualaikum...
    For pet project which will be running for two weeks, PUO will be designing a kiosk as to expose the students to public space. It will be situated at KTMB Ipoh. We will propose indoor & outdoor kiosks. This is a group work consist of two persons per group. Thank you!

Morning & Assalamualaikum...boleh tau perancangan project for the whole semester x? as for us, kami dah buat schedule, tp still blurr sebab regarding yg dibincangkan dan disampaikan, state for 1 project: tourist info centre. Pada pendapat kami, scope die quite kecil, so kalau boleh nk tau detail scope yg sebetulnya bagaimana.

    buat masa skng, kami start dengan case study. and after this, kami akan sambung dengan site study. nnti kami emailkan schedule kami utk dikomen. tlg tengok2kan ye...tq

  4. salam, skng dah masuk minggu ke 2 PNP.setakat ni masih belum ada brief/perancangan utk the whole semester yg selaras. so far, diberitahu 1 projek sahaja, jadi bagaimana timbulnya projek kiosk tersebut? POLIMAS dah mula dengan case study utk Info Centre tersebut (sila rujuk schedule yg disertakan). kami berharap sangat2 agar disegerakan penyelarasan projek sepanjang semester utk CA301 kerana kelas telahpun berjalan. tq.

    kesimpulannya, 2-storey building la kiranya ni. ok jugak tu sebab byk sikit students boleh explore esp. construction n circulation. boleh sy bagi cadangan lagi x:
    9.Mini Auditorium/Bilik Tayangan
    10.Cafeteria
    11.Souvernir Shop
    12.Money Changer

  7. Salam. We apologize for the late reply. Our intention by doing a kiosk is to give early exposure to the students on site study, site analysis and design proposal in groups as to get an overview of our students performance. Since the big project is a Tourist Information Centre, we believed by doing a kiosk related to information and the like will help the students to understand better on how site analysis and synthesis will affect design proposal besides design requirements. By designing a kiosk at a public place such as KTM Ipoh is merely a warm-up before we assign the project of Tourist Information Center to the student later. As for now, we've discovered that most of our students are very weak in:
    1. presenting information of site analysis in architectural graphic standard;
    2. clueless on the usage of site analysis & inventory;
    3. connecting design proposal with site potentials & user needs;
    4. presenting standard architectural presentation drawing of plans, sections, elevations and the like;
    5. finding related references to help them in developing their proposal.
    Currently, these are the major problems we are facing. From here, we will find the solutions and improvise it in Tourist Information Centre project. Hopefully, we will achieve the objectives of AC301 and vitally equip the students with all the aspects related to design. Insyaallah...
